I thought I would share a couple more pictures I’ve taken. There isn’t a lot of photo ops where we live right now and with the weather being extremely cold (-35) I can’t really get outside. So for now, this is what I’ve come up with. This sunset below caught my attention.
This one below I wanted to capture the sun.
Below is our dog sporting his very different eyes. It’s very rare for this type to have blue eyes. He’s such a diva.
These are some of the things that bring peace to my soul and remind me that there is hope!
What brings you peace?

Nice pics
And your boy is just adorable!
Thank you so much!
You should take some pics of your snake, i’d love to see her
i can’t wait to but she’s not been well, she’s had trouble shedding so she can’t be handled much right now and she looks awful. she seems to actually be going into a full shed now, so hopefully in the next week or so i will be able to post some of her!!
I hope it all goes well with her shedding, I know it’s horrible watching a pet suffer or being in trouble and not be able to do much them…
it is and between the dog and snake it’s been 7 months of it.
we even had the snake to the vet. thankfully our vet loves snakes! still she hasn’t shed completely, but it looks like she’s about too! here’s hoping!
The pictures are lovely and the doggie is ‘sweet’….I feel really a peace when I’m in nature especially listening to a babbling brook or looking at the waves in the ocean… or as your picture show a sunset ….Diane
Thank you. There is just something so calming, even supernatural about nature isn’t there?!
… what brings me peace ??? …
Silence, being alone .. walking through nature, or through a whirling city.
A beautiful and honest smile.
A good night of sleep.
An interesting conversation with a friend.
Sleeping skin to skin.
They all sound wonderful!
THIRTY FIVE BELOW????????????????????????????? Geez Louise!!!!!!!
I like the pictures. Do you have fifteen pairs of socks on?
I know! I just tend to stay inside! lol
I don’t blame you.
yeah it was snot freezing, cold!
Hehehehe…..:) You said ‘snot freezing’.
i sure did! lol
Lovely pictures! And your dog is soo cute!! Hugs xx
thank you! how are you?
I’m ok, bobbing along, how about you? xx
I’m doing pretty good right now, I had a completely stress free/obligation free Christmas, it was wonderful!
Lovely!
xx
thank you!
That dog is so cute. I wouldn’t mind more photos
Thank you! I’ll work on it!
Great pictures! Your dog’s eyes are lovely and he’s very cute. What’s his name? -35C is too cold for me. I don’t blame you for staying inside! I’m one who usually avoids going out if it’s below -10 to -15C. Really -10C is bad enough though! LOL Stay warm
thank you! His name is Lowryder.
I don’t mind cold but when it becomes painful and snot freezing then I mind.
you would not like here at all! lol
That’s a neat name. If you like stories about other doxies and are on facebook you might like “Biggest Loser, Doxie Edition ” https://www.facebook.com/BiggestLoserDoxieEdition?fref=ts
He was rescued from an elderly couple who were feeding him to death b/c they were a bit senile. Anyway, Obie’s loosing weight and doing well with Nora.
Obie is the doxie and SO CUTE! I think he’s sweet and his human is great too
Haha, no I likely wouldn’t like it there. It’s supposed to snow 20-30cm of snow either tonight or tomorrow morning. I’m not looking forward to that at all! But we’ve barely had snow this winter so I guess I just have to suck it up!
that sounds so cute, i’ll have to check it out!! thank you.
oh no now you’re getting the snow, eek! good time to stay in bed! lol
Oh, staying in bed is tempting!
i know! i like the sounds of it too ha!
LOL!
I really enjoy photography. I kept a darkroom for years, but with digital I gave it up. I haven’t learned Photoshop or anything, but I still like snapping the shutter.
Oh really you had a dark room? That’s so cool! How come you gave it up?
Space and Donkey. In the first place we lived there was no room to set up. In the second, I was pregnant and he forbid it for “safety”. In the third I didn’t have the energy. In the fourth he took the space as his and then never used it. And so on. I haven’t taken film in seven years. Now I just use my phone and it sucks.
awww that does suck! slowly though you’re taking back your life, maybe that passion will be renewed!
Probably. It’s something I have enjoyed for 20 years. You have a good eye. I can’t wait to see what you can do when you can actually go outside. And dog is so photogenic, you have to keep him posing for pictures.
what a wonderful gift!
i do really? thank you! i can’t wait to also figure out the camera futher so i know what i have to work with…lol
our dog is such a character, i shall keep him posing whether he likes it or not…ha!
I have learned to cheat with digital. I’ll usually take 10 or more pictures one right after another, so I almost always get a good one. Have fun with the camera. Try taking a picture of one thing with several options/settings and see how they all turn out different. It’s fun.
what a great ideas, thank you so much for the tips!! this will be fun!
I love, love the top sunset and ole blue eyes is stunning what a beautiful pup.
thank you that means a lot!
Your dog is adorable and your pictures are beautiful.
thank you xo
I have a special place in my heart for blue eyed dogs. Two of them have had one blue eye- non standard for the breed, but very striking!
awwww they sound cute!
thank you xo
